As Aiculus continues to expand and scale, we’re constantly having to prove to new customers why they should choose us. Given the host of products and service providers out there, why should Aiculus be chosen for any particular engagement? In answering this question, we’re also confirming why our business model should strive and continue to grow. The Aiculus 2025 community update is about our future, specifically where we see ourselves in the next few years.
In the coming years, we perceive several trends changing the nature of technology and our role in it. More products will enter the market, and technology will become ever more complex. Cyber breaches will increase, and ethical use-cases of products will get more attention as users become more informed about some effects of some products and product companies’ business practices. Lastly, the increasing influence of technology companies on global politics, and the technological divide and competition between east and west, becomes more defined. These factors will have a significant effect, changing the way tech is perceived and used. Amidst these changes, Aiculus is striving to be a force for good in our community, and a trusted partner to our customers. This means good old Trust will be our central ideal, and will continue to make us relevant to our customers as the world evolves.
In 2025 we’re excited to launch our new fraud detection product. This product emerged from one of our customers’ needs and addresses a frequent enquiry we’ve been getting from others in our community. Built through collaboration with a customer and end-users, the Aiculus Fraud Management platform harnesses the power of Artificial Intelligence, seamlessly integrated with a rule-based system to identify fraudulent activities and behaviour patterns in digital payment systems. We’ve built the platform to solve some of the biggest problems these systems face. The Aiculus Fraud Management platform also aligns with our strategy to expand our first product, the Aiculus API Security solution. APIs are not going anywhere, and neither is the essential need to keep them secure.

The most exciting part of 2024 for Aiculus was building this new product. It brought out the strengths of our team and reminded us of what we’re good at. With our growing portfolio of technology products and services, we couldn't be more excited about the future. Also, 2024 marked the second anniversary of the Ballarat and surrounding areas Annual Cybersecurity Survey, which culminates in a briefing that’s attended by technology leaders and managers of local organisations. Aiculus also became the first sponsor and co-convenor of BSides Ballarat, the first BSides conference in a regional city in Australia. Last, but not least, in 2025, Aiculus will also be bringing BSides to Botswana for the first time.
We believe one of the ways of building trust is being an invested and active participant in our communities. My personal way of community impact is giving my time. As a member of the board of Community Bank Buninyong, I had the privilege of officially opening the Merryweather Room at the Buninyong Fire Brigade. Community Bank Buninyong had contributed to the development of permanent public display room for the Fire Brigade’s vintage 1899 Merryweather horse-drawn firefighting pumper. To date, the bank has funded over 458 projects and invested over $2M into the community.
As we settle into 2025 we’re excited to partner with our collaborators to create positive impact, to build great products and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Our goal for every engagement is to address our customers' most pressing challenge, either by using our existing, innovative products or by collaborating closely through consulting to develop tailored solutions.
We’re positioned to help businesses of any size because we have worked with both large and small businesses in Australia, South East Asia, USA, the Middle East and Africa. From these regions, we’ve worked with central banks, tech companies, financial services, telcos, community banks and design agencies. We have the expertise, experience and track record in working with government departments, large corporates, innovative Small and Medium Enterprises across the globe, first to understand, then solve high-priority problems efficiently. Additionally, we have a strong network of partners with whom we’ve worked, learnt and succeeded.
Trust remains our central value as we move into the future. We believe it will become an increasingly valuable attribute for our business. The future we see for Aiculus is one where we’re trusted to look out for the interests of our community, and to help our partners achieve strategic goals, solve specific problems and focus on their core business. In the meantime, we continue to understand what trust means for our customers and consider how we incorporate trust into our processes and products.
