Aiculus Sponsors BSides Ballarat: Empowering Regional Cybersecurity

What is BSides?

BSides is a community-driven series of cybersecurity conferences focused on collaboration, innovation, and practical problem-solving. Unlike larger corporate events, BSides provides an inclusive environment for professionals, business owners, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and highlight local talent. It fosters grassroots engagement, making cybersecurity accessible to everyone.

Who is Bringing BSides to Ballarat?

Dr Paul Black, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory (ICSL), convened a group of local IT and cybersecurity professionals to organise and host the inaugural BSides Ballarat.

Why is Aiculus Sponsoring BSides Ballarat?

Aiculus is proud to be a sponsor of the first-ever BSides Ballarat. By supporting this transformative event, we aim to position regional Australia within the cybersecurity conversation and contribute to

national cyber resilience. Our goal is to elevate regional talent and equip businesses with the knowledge needed to navigate evolving cybersecurity challenges. In an interconnected world, cyber threats affect everyone. However, regional areas like Ballarat are often overlooked when it comes to industry events, resources, and support. BSides Ballarat aims to change this by providing the community with a platform to access cutting-edge strategies and insights.
